Lakefront Connectivity Project

The City of Sheffield Lake is proposing to complete another phase of the Lakefront Connectivity Project by installing an 8′ wide sidewalk from the eastern drive of Perch on the Lake to Cove Beach Avenue. The project also includes replacing the traffic signal at the Lake Road(U.S.6) and Abbe Road(S.R. 301) intersection including adding pedestrian pushbuttons, as well as minor widening along Lake Road through the intersection to widen the bike lanes to 5 feet. In order for the project to be completed, new permanent and/or temporary right-of-way and/or easements will need to be acquired from parcels along the path of the new sidewalk.

Traffic on Lake Road will be maintained during construction. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2026.
