Chief Andrew Kory assumed the role of Chief of Police for the Sheffield Lake Police Department in 2021. Chief Kory’s journey with the department began in 2015, steadily climbing the ranks and demonstrating unwavering dedication to the community. Prior to his promotion as Chief, he held the position of Sergeant, a milestone achieved in 2018.
A proud alumnus of Youngstown State University, Chief Kory earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2011. His commitment to education is rooted in his formative years, having graduated from North Ridgeville High School in 2007.
Within the Sheffield Lake Police Department, Chief Kory’s diverse experience includes roles as a patrol officer, supervisor, detective, and property maintenance officer. His multifaceted background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of law enforcement dynamics.
